Handling and storage: As the heavy of slabs, the slabs should be stocked and moved including loading and unloading vertically. If they are granite and marble polished slabs, then they should be moved or stocked vertically with the polished faces touching each other. When slabs are going to be stocked at the job site, the following precautions should be taken: 1-Slabs should be placed away from the job traffic area. 2-The polished sides should be facing each other. 3-Slabs should be resting vertically. 4-If it is necessary to stack them, the slabs should be separated by a 1"x4" piece of wood.
